I began with Whose Disability? (1982) using video to empower adults with complex disabilities to communicate. That philosophy went on to shape projects including the first Paralypmics programming for Channel 4, the Emmy Award-winning BBC Video Diaries, the creation of Video Nation and the BBC's first New Media department, all generating programmes using new technologies that changed who got to tell stories on British television.

Since then I've worked across broadcasting, digital media, education and independent production, including senior roles at the BBC, ITV Meridian, Maverick Television and Southampton Solent University, while producing award-winning documentaries and more recently short films for BBC's The One Show.
